Boston Private Bank & Trust Company staff

Our first Clothing Drive at Boston Private Bank & Trust Company was a tremendous success. Twenty (20) staff members donated 612 pounds (45 bags) of clothing, shoes and accessories to help people in need in the Greater Boston area and support a small, local nonprofit. This is a record-breaking collection for a first-time clothing drive, and even more amazing given the downtown location.

We're helping the earth too -- in addition to recycling your clothing, Second Chances recycles all plastic bags and paper packaging from these drives thanks to the City of Cambridge's Recycling Program.

Our next open clothing drive is in Somerville in late-June and you can always use our clothing donation bins in Watertown, or in Cambridge if you are a Cambridge resident.

Other ways you can help
Second Chances is entering its third year of operation and our needs are still immense. Right now, our biggest obstacle is funding - while we can operate on a small scale with volunteer labor and donated space and materials, we need to raise the funds to staff our program and become fully operational. Second Chances can benefit from financial contributions to support and expand our programs and operations. Financial contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
