MIT StuffFest 2009
Thank you!

Another great year! This year the MIT community collected 3,783 pounds of clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares, electronics, books, and more through StuffFest.

Triumvirate Environmental graciously collected and delivered all that STUFF to Second Chances' storage space, where it will be sorted, stored and distributed to local shelters and service providers. What Second Chances' clients cannot use will be recycled or sold to support our operations. Your used stuff will help people in need in Cambridge and Somerville and support Second Chances, a small, local nonprofit. Your generous donations will make a difference in another community members' life.

Second Chances is very grateful to everyone who participated in and volunteered for StuffFest.

Extra special thanks
to all the dorm coordinators, Niamh, Justin, and our friends at Triumvirate Environmental -- Steve, Paolo, Mike and Kat.

Other ways you can help
Second Chances is entering its fifth year of operation and our needs are still immense. Right now, our biggest obstacle is funding - while we can operate on a small scale with volunteer labor and donated space and materials, we need to raise the funds to staff our program and become fully operational. Second Chances can benefit from financial contributions to support and expand our programs and operations. Financial contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
