Thank You!
NonProfit Center Tenants, Neighbors and Friends

Our Earth Day Clothing Drive at the NonProfit Center was a tremendous success. NonProfit Center tenants, neighbors and friends donated 508 pounds of clothing, shoes and accessories to help the earth, people in need in the Greater Boston area, and support a small, local nonprofit.

The NonProfit Center's last three clothing drives for Second Chances have raised about 200 pounds each - and we gathered two and a half times the record amount this time!

Second Chances recycles all plastic bags and paper packaging from these drives as well, thanks to the City of Cambridge's Recycling Program.

Our next open clothing drive is in Somerville in late-June, and we'll have another at the NonProfit Center in the fall.

Other ways you can help
Second Chances is entering its third year of operation and our needs are still immense. Right now, our biggest obstacle is funding - while we can operate on a small scale with volunteer labor and donated space and materials, we need to raise the funds to staff our program and become fully operational. Second Chances can benefit from financial contributions to support and expand our programs and operations. Financial contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
